Still Aiming High

Let me intro­duce you to Clare Thorn­ton. Who is she you ask? She is the hero­ine of my roman­tic nov­el Bat­tered Wings which is now avail­able at the Whiskey Creek Press web­site.   http://www.whiskeycreekpress.com/store/

Clare is the wife of three-star Gen­er­al Leland Thorn­ton (Ret), mar­ried for more than 25 years.  Clare is classy, con­fi­dent, well trav­eled.  She is a lov­ing moth­er and pro­tec­tive of her grown chil­dren.  Clare is a wife and a lover to her man but most of all Clare Thorn­ton is coura­geous.  Why?  Read the book and you will see.

Now, let me intro­duce you to Lee Thorn­ton.  As I said, he is an USAF  Lieu­tenant Gen­er­al, Retired.  Under nor­mal cir­cum­stances he is a lov­ing hus­band, a great com­mand­ing offi­cer and a good friend, under nor­mal cir­cum­stances that is.   An old war injury caus­es our hero’s per­son­al­i­ty to change dras­ti­cal­ly and in doing so he ter­ri­fies his wife and sends her on a jour­ney to find her­self and her courage once again.

Will the two find their love for each oth­er again?  The book tells all.
